Tag, I’m It!
June 27th, 2007It’s the 8 Random Facts meme going around the world, and despite a rather tiny circle of friends with blogs, sooner or later, it had to come hit me - I have Vibz to blame for that :). First, some rules of this rather popular blogtivity -
Players who are tagged, post these two rules and write 8 random facts about themselves.
Players tag eight other people and notify them that they have been tagged.
Therefore, here are 8 random facts about me, that would make you no more wiser, and wish for the next two minutes of your life back.
1. My computer can dual boot in Mac OS X 10.4.10 and Windows XP, and for some incoherent reason, I’m typing this blog post in Windows running in virtualization on Mac OS X. I can’t wait for Leopard.
2. I am a syndication junkie. I graze on RSS feeds and subscribe to more content than I can browse through on an average day. I often get dangerously close to information overload on news, technology, humor, personal opinions, and other subscription content - my aggregator is tracking around seventy feeds right now.
3. I adore good grammar, sentence formation, and the judicious use of felicitous wordage in diction and otherwise. An online thesaurus is less than a click away for me as I’m always close to an internet-linked computational device. I believe everyone should read Eats, Shoots & Leaves. However, I’m not a grammer natzee.
4. I’m a recovering gadget freak - although I can’t resist the allurement of the iPhone.
5. I’ve taken more biomedical engineering classes than embedded systems engineering classes in grad school at the University of Colorado.
6. I dabble in too many things without halting to master each sequentially. At this phase in time, I’m learning Python, teaching myself Algorithms, getting back to my forgotten love of sketching, playing videogames, attempting wheelies on my motorcycle, studying the principles of minimalistic web design, and a bunch of other things.
7. I’m watching Family Guy reruns in a corner of my display as I’m typing this up. You can see I ran out of random facts that could be a little more interesting to a general audience a long time ago.
8. I’ve collected almost every single stub of the airline boarding passes I’ve had thus far (I may have missed a few domestic trips, but have the international ones for sure). The plan is to make an interesting scrapbook out of those, some day. I’d also like to travel enough to make ten scrapbooks.
Hmm, now that we’re done with that task, who do I tag? Let’s try and bend the rules a bit here as I’m not really part of a big blogging circle. Here you go, Mike, Sean, Toni, Murali, and Rohit!

I finally got around to it.
BTW, your OpenID login failed when I tried. It gave me a 404 after LJ asked if I wanted to grant access. I’m glad you’re trying it, though. I like OpenID.
