About Me

Hi there. My name’s Sameer Aidoor and this is my personal website, which I mostly use as a blog. I work as a firmware engineer for Seagate Technology. Professional interests include but are not restricted to electronics and embedded systems design. If your interests are similar, you might be interested in reading about my projects.

I grew up in Mumbai (formerly Bombay), the most populous city in India (and the fourth largest metropolis in the world), where most of my family is still based. I am a Saraswat Brahmin by ethnicity, and my native tongue is Konkani, an Indo-Aryan language that has been around at least since the 12th century. More about the origin of the Konkani language can be found here. An active Konkani community also gathers online on Orkut.

Thank you for stopping by my website. I am looking to upload pictures, sketches, and other random stuff here soon - hopefully that would be of some more interest than this plain old introduction!

Academic Information:

2006 Received my Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and a certificate in Embedded Systems Design from the University of Colorado. I worked as a graduate research assistant under Dr. Roger Enoka in the Neurophysiology of Movement Laboratory in the Department of Integrative Physiology, where I investigated the effects of amplitude cancellation on the determination of onset of muscle activity in a simulated surface electromyogram.

2003 Earned my Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Mumbai University, India, where I studied at the Vivekananda Institute of Technology (VESIT).
